This section highlights two lists from Best of the Rest sections that are particularly unusual or innovative. It’s an exciting time to be playing 40K and covering it, so let’s dive right in.Īs ever, lists that made it to the final round undefeated are marked with a ✪, except where the format makes that irrelevant. Still, the times are definitely a-changing, and we now also have more details of how the game is going to be shaken up when the new mission pack and secondaries arrive. The emerging picture is that Drukhari are once again the army to beat, albeit with substantial re-configurations to the lists, but there’s a much broader set of challengers nipping at their heels and able to make a play for the top spots, and a poor matchup into Talos appears to be acting as a check on the extreme dominance of Grey Knights seen over the past few weeks. The weekend also saw the finals of the GW roadshow take place in Dallas, which our team already took a look at in the preview on Friday and in Rob’s live coverage over the course of the weekend (including Brad’s last minute list change). The Balance Dataslate continues to have big impacts, with substantial shakeups to the list designs of the top factions and renewed challenges from other armies all on show at big events in the UK and US. ![]()
